May we never grow up.
May we play every day.
May God keep as as Children!
Open to new possibilities each day.

Agree some of the younger Christians have the theology of the 40's and 50's here in the US.

John & Olive, thanks for blogging the book.
feig has been a great journey. writing the book was fun. it's getting lots of positive feedback from people setting out on similar journeys.

Feig is an emerging church in Gloucester, associated with Gloucester cathedral. The book is the story of its birth and initial development. See http://www.feig.org.uk/

Good to have the mice back! Continued prayers...recalled a service for the Ordination of a Deacon at a parish in LA. All the clergy were in a prominent place on the left of altar, robed, etc - a Jewish Rabbi was sitting beside me - he was "shocked" that the protestant clergy were not able to take communion - it was stated in the Bulletin "we were welcome to come and receive a blessing but not partake"--it was hard to explain to him in hushed whispers why!! Of course he was happy he didn't melt when "holy" water was sprinkled on us!!!

A few years ago I went with an ecumenical group of missiologists and archivists to Mass at a Roman Catholic Church, and was asked by some of the Protestants who attended why i hadn'ty received communion (they had). So for the other side of the story see Intercommunion: Khanya.

I'd definitely be up for an Aberdeenshire group of SSs! I suspect there are a lot of us about - I spent time yesterday at Stirling with Prof Richard Roberts who is an elder at the Holy Rude church in Stirling and also a practitioner in Celtic Shamanism! Like me he would like to bring his church affiliation in closer alignment with his more experimental religious explorations, but has similar problems in getting people to accept that they are complementary to his faith rather than scary.
I'd be happy to meet with anyone else who likes asking questions ;o))
